Excellent location - 10 minutes walk to Charles bridge and 20 minutes to the Castle. The area was quiet but full of character. Very good buffet breakfast included in room rate and wi-fi in room worked well and was free.
The best thing about this hotel is its location. Every tourist attaction is just a few minutes by foot. We stayed in the family room at the fifth floor, very spacious and very clean. We will definitely stay in this hotel again if we ever go back to Prague.
The location is very good; close to the tram stop and at 10 minutes walk to the Charles Bridge. The room was clean, bright and comfortable.

Boat trip included in booking - I had to remind the receptionist about it. However, the boat trip was rather boring ;) Nice place, a little overdone with decoration. Amazing breakfast. Recommended

The perfect choice. Beautiful hotel in a super location, situated only just few steps from the Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. We spent here a wonderful time and we´ll stay here again!

I would like to express my absolute delight about the hotel William, where I stayed from 2.05.2010 to 9.05.2010. The interior of the hotel and the location is absolutely fantastic and the meals were delicious.
I would also like to thank the manager and to receptionist Anna who helped me so much to get an impression of Prague in a very short time after the conference and due to her I always knew where and how it is better to go and had no problems at all.
I really enjoyed every minute of my stay in Prague and I would definitely love to repeat this experience.

We stayed at your hotel 29. april - 2. may 2009, and we were kindly asked to give some feedback regarding our stay. We found your hotel nice and tidy, and the service was good. We also found the location of the hotell to be very good, it was no problem to walk from the hotell to most of the actual places to visit in Stare Mèsto, Novè Mèsto and Mala Strana.
However, we stayed in room 101, which was a small and cosy room, but when you stay two persons for several days, the room should be so big that you can have two sitting chairs in it. Also the shower cabin in the bathroom was a little to small for a tall norwegian man, but I'll have to say that this is not a major case.
We also registrated some traffic noise from the main street (Ujezd?) This noise I guess came mostly from the trams (steel wheels rolling on the chains, and the noise is coming through the ground and the concrete and brick constructions) As we stayed in room 101 this was not a big problem for us, we slept well, but I guess this noise is more significant in the rooms located towards the main street. And I very well see that the hotel can do nothing whith this problem.
If I shall come down to a conclusion, and on a scale from 1 to 5 I will give your hotel an all over score of 4+. It is also a great possibility that we will stay at your hotel on our next visit to Prague. In that case we would like to have a room located to the side street of Ujezd and on floor 3 or 4if possible. If someone should ask me for a good hotel for a few days stay in Prague, I would recommend your hotel

The hotel is walking distance from everything in Prague, 10min max!! That was the number one pro! The hotel is beautiful, very cosi! Breakfast it´s more than you can ask for, something for every one´s taste! The staff is really professional and nice they even make us a big favor and we were extremely grateful for it The room was big, clean y warm. Perfect stay in Prague.

Well we are back home after the great four days we had at your hotel. Just to say we had a fantastic time and that all the staff were friendly they were just fantastic, what ever you wanted they arranged, meals, directions, taxi's etc. The room (502) was big,warm and very clean,absolutely great.

I booked this hotel through Europeandestinations.com. I arrived at the hotel, and was quickly given a room. I was given Room 201, which was a large twin room. The bathroom was also large, and had a bath/shower combination. The room was a bright, cheerful yellow, and the bathroom had tile walls and a tile floor. Both were kept spotless by the housekeeper.
The hotel is in a great location--in the lesser town. Tram 22 stops outside the hotel. I took the tram to the end of the line, and this was a great tour in itself. I walked to Old Town, Kampa Island, the National Theatre, and to the Charles Bridge. The location cannot be any better.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and I bought tram passes that is sold by the front desk. The breakfast was fine--the lady who put out the breakfast was very nice and kept the breakfast room very clean.
The only negative I have about the hotel is the lift. If you are on the second floor like I was, do not use the lift. You have to walk up a half flight of stairs to get to the lift, and the lift stops between floors. If you are above the third floor, it would probably be okay.
Even though the Tram stopped outside my room, I did not have a problem with the noise--I guess I am a heavy sleeper.
Another bonus to the Hotel William is the small grocery store across the street. I went there every night to buy fruit and Coca-Cola Light. The people who run the store were very kind and spoke to me when I would enter the store.
The Hotel William is a great place to base your stay in Prague.
This is my fourth time in hotel WIlliam. I always feel very velcome. The staff is very pleasant and polite. I would not stay anywhere else. A big thank you to all hotel staff. see you next year. Room 208.
Hotel was in a great location, very easy to walk everywhere from the hotel or jump on tram 22 from outside. We asked for rooms at the back of the hotel so we would not hear the tram noise. We were in room 507 and our friends 505. 507 is the bigger room. The room was always lovely and warm and the shower really hot and powerful.
Would recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful time in Prague and, thanks to your kindness, we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel William. Helen and I hope that your cold is now better and that you are back to full operating capacity. Not that we noticed any difference! Even when you weren't feeling well you still performed your duties with patience for our lack of Czech-speaking abilities and generosity when we needed assistance.
We will definitely be back with you again next year - hopefully in Mat - so please do keep us informed of any good deals or packages that you might have for that month.

We have just returned back to the UK after a fantastic three days in Prague. I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff at the William Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable. It is a lovely hotel and very good value for money.
A special thank you to whoever sorted out the flowers and the chocolates in our room, it was a lovely surprise for my wife and she really appreciated it. Although the delicious chocolates got eaten, the flowers have made it back to our home in England !

We had a great stay at your hotel when we were in Prague. I decided to book this hotel. It was my wife's 50th Birthday, so I wanted something really special. This Hotel exceeded my expectations, it was perfect. The staff were so pleasant, and helpful. The Hotel was very clean throughout. Our room was beautiful. It is perfectly situated, with Prague Castle 15 mins walking, and old town about 25 mins walking. Lots of bars, and restaurants in the area, very keenly priced.
We will be going to Prague again, and will be staying at the William Hotel.
We just had a wonderful 3 days staying at the William. It´s located in the most central and beautiful part of Prague, the rooms were sparkling clean and ours especially with a great view. Also the breakfast is great and staff is very friendly.

We have stayed in Prague 14 times and over this time at many different places including from Best Western in centre to Hostels.
Your Hotel has to be the best, your staff everyone are friendly and helpfull which is not common. Usually we may be lucky and one person stands out but all your staff have been professional and happy to help.
Your Hotel pillows are lovely and soft with crisp clear bedding. Also your breakfast was nice duality and good choice.

Great location in Mala Strana, in a calmer and more quiet part of the city but very close to all main attractions, especially the Charles Bridge. There's a tram stop right in front which makes it easier to go around when not on foot, we never needed to take a cab. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, and we would definitively recommend it. As noted in other reviews, the hotel has a fancy decoration style at the entrance and lobby, but the rooms are quite comfortable, with a simple clean design. We had a large and spacious room at the 5th floor The hotel even had a lift, which evidently helped carrying the luggage to our room. There was a reasonable breakfast already included in the rate. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and the hotel was really great value.
It's the second time I'm at the hotel wich must mean that I like it ;-) We had a 4-bed room and it was very big and nice! Breakfast was good and so was service.
Stayed here in December 2012 for 5 days. Excellent location, 5 minutes from Charles Bridge and within easy walking distance of attractions in the city. We expected to buy transport tickets but saved the money as we could walk almost everywhere. Lots of attractions in the city and there are also a few near the hotel such as Petrin Hill and the furnicular railway and some sculpture art which is quite interesting. The tram stops right outside the hotel. We got a tram from the airport, connected once and arrived right outside the hotel. Hotel breakfast was substantial with lots of cold meats and bread and cheeses and there was also a hot option of eggs, bacon and sausage. Most of the guests were Russian and German but don't let this put you off, the receptionists spoke good English and were able to direct us to some good restaurants on the same street as the hotel and further afield. Rooms were average size and warm and bathrooms were very modern. Booked with Thomas Cook city breaks and would definitely stay there again.
Great location, very close to the Charlov Bridge, from where you can walk all over the center of Praga. Rich breakfast. Very close to public transport (tram). Private parking close to the hotel (charged. Get a ticket at the reception).
Brilliant location, we walked from the metro station, it took us about fifteen minutes. It's the other side of the river the the old town, but it is all within walking distance.The room was huge, we were on the top floor in a family room.Plenty of choice for breakfast, for all nationalities! Room was always clean, and reception very helpful.Would go and stay again.
